Australian organizations reaffirm their support for the self-determination of the Sahrawi people

The Australian Western Sahara Association and the Green Left organized, this Saturday, a public forum and the screening of films in Sydney on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the invasion of Western Sahara by Morocco in 1975, reaffirming their support for the right to self-determination of the Sahrawi people. Rachel Evans of the Socialist Alliance opened the evening, reviewing the situation in Western Sahara in the wider process of decolonization, being Africa’s last colony. She highlighted the growing global solidarity with the Sahrawi cause and expressed her organization’s support for the freedom struggle of the Sahrawi people.
