Political parties affirm their support and absolute backing

Head of State’s candidacy for a second presidential term

Following the announcement, the day before yesterday, Thursday, by the President of the Republic of his intention to run for a second presidential term, political parties affirmed their support and absolute backing, welcoming the achievements made in different areas. And calling, on the occasion, on all citizens to massive participation in the next presidential election to preserve the stability and security of the country and its institutions.
In a statement, the National Democratic Rally (RND) expressed its satisfaction with the response of the President of the Republic to the call of the National Council of the party to run for a new presidential term in order to continue the reform process and propel Algeria towards a promising future to which the Algerian people aspire. Reaffirming its support, with all its activists, for the success of the electoral process, through the contribution to a clean and distinguished campaign, in addition to the mobilization with its partners and political actors for the victory of candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the next presidential election.
This announcement, writes the El Bina El Watani Movement in its press release, comes in accordance with the decision of its National Consultative Council to endorse the candidacy of the President of the Republic in the presidential election scheduled for September 7. Assuring its readiness to carry out this meeting and its full mobilization to contribute to the revitalization of a quality electoral campaign in all parts of the country, for a massive popular participation.
For its part, the El Islah Movement affirmed its support and absolute backing for the candidate for the candidacy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Noting that the decision of support came for the many achievements accomplished during the first term in the new Algeria, after he courageously led the country to safety during a very difficult period. “The President of the Republic has succeeded in achieving political and socio-economic stability, despite the difficult situation that the country has gone through and the plots hatched against Algeria both internally and externally,” he said.
Welcoming the important measures taken, including the strengthening of the role of justice in the fight against corruption, the consolidation of citizens’ social rights, the distribution of a considerable number of housing units, as well as the return to the scene of Algerian diplomacy, the Movement believes that a second term for the President of the Republic will contribute to completing the achievements recorded on all levels, and to leading the country towards a better future.
