Des statuts à la hauteur des attentes

Statuses that meet expectations

During a session devoted to oral questions at the National People’s Assembly (APN), the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed, confirmed, Thursday, the particular interest given by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the statutes of national education, which are currently being enriched. They will inevitably bring “many achievements” that meet the expectations of workers in the sector, he said.

It is known that the President of the Republic had ordered, last February, the postponement of the presentation on the statutes and the compensation system of the specific bodies of national education with a thorough examination in order to improve its content, taking into account the fact that the teacher is an educator before being a civil servant. The President of the Republic also ordered to “define priorities, according to a modern vision, which places the training of future generations at the heart of concerns” and instructed to “examine more offers and proposals that serve the education sector”.

The Minister of National Education provided the deputies with clarification on other issues they raised. Thus, concerning the measures taken to improve the schooling of students in the commune of Ain Tarek (Relizane), due to the problem of overcrowding, he affirmed that his sector “will work to remedy this situation, particularly at the level of middle education, by relying on educational solutions linked to the educational organization of the establishment, as well as the strengthening of school transport means in coordination with local authorities.” “Some of the students enrolled at the Mohamed-Boudiaf college will be transferred to the Chahid Douis-Rabah college, in the same commune after consultation and coordination with the parents of students,” the minister continued, stressing that his sector has accepted “the registration of a project for the construction of a new college in the Zeboudja district, in the same commune, as part of the sectoral investment plan for the 2025 financial year.”

Abdelhakim Belaabed also reaffirmed the commitment of his sector “to closely and continuously monitor the evolution of the number of students across the wilaya’s educational establishments in order to ensure conditions conducive to good schooling for students. and bring school structures closer to their places of residence whenever objective conditions allow it.
The minister answered another question on the regularization of the financial situation of a category of primary school teachers working at the level of the education directorate of the wilaya of Jijel.
