Deux individus arrêtés à Médéa  – Le Jeune Indépendant

As part of the fight against crime in all its forms, elements of the 2nd urban security of Médéa arrested two individuals, residing in the 15-December district, in the capital of the wilaya, suspected of fraud and identity theft through the use of witchcraft and magical practices.

According to a press release issued by the wilaya security services, the investigation was launched following several complaints from citizens who were victims of fraud. The perpetrators managed to convince their victims of their “ability to solve family problems through magic and witchcraft”, but also to help them acquire cars at public auctions, in exchange for jewelry and large sums of money.

In-depth investigations and the use of field information made it possible to identify and arrest the suspects, recover a sum of money, two gold rings, as well as mobile phones used to communicate with the victims and organize meetings.
