Deux millions d’étudiants dans les amphis – Le Jeune Indépendant

Nearly two million students return to university campuses and research centers across the country on Monday. A return to the sign of the modernization of the university, called to become an engine of the national economy and an incubator of jobs for young people.

To materialize the orientations of the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has mobilized considerable means, in order to allow students to devote themselves fully to the acquisition of knowledge and the development of research. This year, 331,827 new registrants will join the campuses.

The guardianship also tables a strengthening of the teaching staff, with the aim of reaching more than 75,000 teachers, in accordance with the international standard of a supervisor for 20 students. In this context, 4,112 budgetary positions were opened for 2025, including 2,941 teacher-researchers, 719 university hospital teachers, 156 permanent researchers and 185 contractual researchers.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, stressed that the reforms undertaken in the sector are starting to bear fruit. Among the recent achievements are the creation of 422 university subsidiaries, 250 of which are already active and contribute to the creation of wealth. Their number should reach 490 by the end of the year.
