The meeting of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the presidents of 27 parties
politicians represented in the elected national and local Assemblies, made it possible to review
many issues of national interest. Almost the entire day this Tuesday was devoted to it. This
meeting took place at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center (CIC) (Algiers).

The conclave was marked by the hearing, by the President of the Republic, of the interventions of the heads of
political parties. Several current national, regional and international issues were debated during this unprecedented meeting as part of a frank and constructive dialogue. The head of state has
took the opportunity to respond to the concerns and other questions of the political parties.

The participants examined and reviewed the various issues linked to national public affairs, preparations linked to the presidential election in its logistical and legislative aspects and its political issues, as well as the situation in the Maghreb, in the Sahelo-Saharan region and in the Middle-East. This meeting which was held in the presence of the Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, and the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency
of the Republic, Mr. Boualem Boualem, intervenes in accordance with the commitments of the President of the Republic to establish the tradition of dialogue and consultation with the political class in consecration
of participatory democracy.

This is the first time that this type of collective meeting has been decided since the election of President Tebboune to the supreme office in December 2019. In the past, the Head of State had met separately with the leaders of political parties within the framework of of the dialogue he established at the end of the health crisis in
Covid-19.

Yesterday’s meeting is a new political initiative by the President of the Republic, a few days before the convening of the electoral body, which was strongly welcomed by the leaders of political parties and the
civil society actors.

This approach by the Head of State is described by observers as a rallying gesture in creation
of a united, united and solid domestic front to face the numerous geopolitical, economic and security threats that threaten the nation.

As a reminder, and according to statements by Abdelkader Bengrina, president of the El-Bina Movement, this meeting is
open to all parties represented in the elected National Assemblies (APN, APC and APW).

In his speech given last Saturday, Mr. Bengrina indicated that “all national parties are invited by the President of the Republic to an exceptional political meeting for dialogue and consultation on the
challenges of the nation and the strengthening of the domestic front in the face of threats.

In this regard, during the popular meetings led by party leaders, we insisted on the imperative of strengthening national cohesion and defending the institutions of the Republic, as well as
reinforce national stability and contribute to the realization of all national projects. They warned against the agenda of forces hostile to Algeria, aiming to undermine the security and stability of the country through the realization of sedition plans and plots.

According to observers, Algeria is targeted by attacks and plots because of its political line in favor of just causes, notably the Palestinian and Sahrawi people, and its economic ambitions, as well as the great progress made in development. of the country in several sectors.
