The authorities of the wilaya of Béjaïa are busy finalizing this Wednesday the preparations for the large-scale operation of distributing more than 7,500 housing units of different formulas AADL, LPA, LPL, LPP, self-construction aid decisions (FONAL), among others, which will take place on the occasion of the celebration of the 62nd anniversary of the Independence and Youth Day, which coincides with July 5 of each year.
This will be one of the most important operations that will be organized by the wilaya. These housings are carried out within the framework of different formulas without counting a significant quota of financial aid for the construction of housing within the framework of the rural program (Fonal).
These dwellings are mainly located in the two new urban centers of Ighzer-Ouzarif and Sidi-Boudrahem, in the communes of Oued Ghir and Béjaïa and in certain communes.
The announcement was made recently by the Secretary General of the Wilaya of Béjaïa, Mr. Saïd Yahiaoui on Radio Soummam.
According to Mr. Yahiaoui, “more than 7,500 ADDL, LPA, LPL, LPP and self-construction aid decisions (Fonal)” types of housing will be distributed on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the Independence and Youth Day.
In other words, the beneficiaries will receive the keys to their accommodation during a grand ceremony which will be held in the wilaya’s conference hall.
Thus, the new urban center of Sidi-Boudrahem will welcome its first inhabitants since 2775 AADL and LPA type housing units will be allocated there while 2700 other ADDL LPL, LPA type housing units will also be allocated on this occasion, to buyers for the programs carried out in particular, in Ighzer-Ouzarif.
A total of 4,700 housing units will be distributed in the two centres and 2,500 self-construction aid decisions will also be given to their beneficiaries on this occasion, not counting the housing units that have been built in other municipalities and which will also be allocated to beneficiaries whose lists have been allocated previously.
As a reminder, draws were organized last week for the benefit of beneficiaries in Oued-Ghir, Tifra, Amizour, among others, by the real estate management office (OPGI), in the presence of a bailiff and local authorities (mayors and heads of daïras).
They focused on the choice of apartment numbers and building levels. These were the 137 social housing units in Oued-Ghir, the 171 housing units in Amizour and 100 housing units in the commune of Tifra.
The allocation of these housing units should put an end to a wait of several years for many families and allow them to finally have a decent roof over their heads. And it will allow the authorities to eradicate many shanty towns in the city of Béjaïa and its surroundings, particularly in Oued-Ghir and the apartments in old buildings in the old city where it will be possible, in the future, to transform them into green spaces or build public buildings there for the benefit of the inhabitants.
