During a meeting which brought together the various construction companies and the central executives of the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Mr. Djellaoui Abdelkader placed great emphasis on the completion of the work on the “Béchar-Tindouf” mining line before the deadlines provided for in the contract. According to the press release from the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, the working meeting was devoted to monitoring the progress of the work on the Béchar-Tindouf-Gara Djebilet west mining line project (950 km), on the need to reinforce the sites with all the human and material resources necessary in order to deliver the project “before the end of the year, i.e. 6 months before the contractual deadlines”, indicated a press release from the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure. ministry.
According to the same press release, the minister gave instructions to the group of construction companies to take additional measures concerning the work, in particular with regard to the laying of rails and ballast, by intensifying coordination between the various stakeholders, and by reinforcing the sites with all the necessary human and material resources, in order to deliver the project before the end of the year, i.e. 6 months before the contractual deadlines,” the press release specifies.
The meeting made it possible to assess the progress of the work on the three axes of the project and to review the measures to be taken on the ground in order to accelerate the pace of completion and to iron out the difficulties hindering the work of the construction companies, the same source adds.
The meeting was attended by central executives of the ministry, the Director General of the National Agency for Studies and Monitoring of the Implementation of Railway Investments (Anesrif), the directors of public works of the wilayas of Béchar, Tindouf and Béni Abbès, as well as the general directors of the public groups “GITRA”, “GEICA”, “GCB”, “Cosider-Travaux Publics”, “Cosider-Installations Techniques”, representatives of the “GITRAMA” group, in addition to the CEO of the Chinese company “CRCC”.
On this occasion, the Director General of Anesrif presented an exhaustive presentation on the progress of work on the three axes of the project as well as on the obstacles encountered, the minister having proposed practical solutions to overcome them, in coordination with the sectors and organizations concerned.
