The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Abdelkader Djellaoui, insisted the day before yesterday, during his working visit which he made at the wilaya of El Tarf, on the necessary coordination between the companies of realization in order to complete the work of carrying out the mining line is connecting Bled El Hadba (Tébessa) to the city of Annaba.
In this context, the Minister underlined, during the inspection of major earthworks, strengthening and the advancement of the upper railway bridge 200 m long, in the commune of Chihani, that “the reception, at the end of December 2025, of the project of duplication, modernization and correction of the mining line is Bled El Hadba-Annaba over a distance of 422 km requires additional efforts, coordination between realization companies ”.
Djellaoui added, after having listened to explanations from the managers of the ANESRIF (National Agency for Studies and Monitoring of the Realization of Rail Investments) as to the various sections of this mining line, that the authorities of the wilaya of El Tarf resolved most of the difficulties which hampered the progress of the project in its section crossing this border wilaya.
Recalling that this is a structuring project, followed personally by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister considered that this mining line is “one of the most important strategic projects in the field of basic infrastructure”.
Djellaoui inspected the construction work of a rail tunnel in Chihani, where he announced “the training of a central commission to follow the work, coordinate the actions of the various stakeholders and submit periodic reports on the progress of the work, according to a specific work calendar guaranteeing compliance with the most rigorous realization and quality standards”.
Regarding, the extension of Annaba’s phosphate port, he affirmed during a statement to the press on the sidelines of a working visit and inspection in the wilaya, that it is “a strategic project which will strengthen national capacities in terms of exploitation and export, and to increase the competitiveness of the national economy”.
The Minister specified that this project “is part of the national integrated phosphate project, decided by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in order to enhance and exploit national phosphate reserves”.
Namely, that the extension project, the work of which has been entrusted to a consortium of Algerian-Chinese companies, includes the creation of a basic platform, the extension of the main dike of 1,400 m, the construction of a mineral quay of 1,600 m long and a draft of 16 m, as well as the development of adjacent areas on an area of ​​82 hectares and Depth required with evacuation of non -usable materials.
