The Blida 2 University, Lounici Ali, received its excellence on Sunday, the Italian ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, in response to an official invitation from the University, as part of its strategy for developing international partnerships with foreign university establishments.
On this occasion, the diplomatic delegation was received by Professor Farid Kourtel, director of the University Blida 2. The two parties held an intensive working session in order to examine the prospects for cooperation and to explore academic and cultural exchanges between the university and Italian educational establishments.
Mr. Kourtel stressed the importance of this meeting, specifying that cooperation with Italy is part of a global vision aimed at improving the quality of foreign languages teaching and opening new horizons to students. “Many teachers and trainers have obtained an Italian diploma at Blida 2 University. We are proud of this center and happy with the growing number of students interested in this discipline. We encourage this trend and provide all the help necessary to support it, “he said.
The director also put forward that “the scholarships granted by the supervisory authority and certain Italian universities represent a gold opportunity for many Algerian students to continue their specialized studies”.
For his part, the Ambassador Cutillo expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, claiming that “the relations between Italy and Algeria are solid and historical. Cultural and linguistic understanding is a fundamental factor that facilitates knowledge between peoples and strengthens bilateral relations ”.
He added: “The Blida 2 University is a pioneer in this area and we are proud of this fruitful cooperation”, emphasizing its desire to provide the support necessary for the development of the Italian language teaching and the strengthening of university exchange programs for the benefit of students from the two countries.
The ambassador said: “The Italian Cultural Institute, whose deputy director was present among us, plays an active role in direct communication with all Algerian universities. The signed partnership agreements, notably between Blida 2 and the University of Perugia, one of the most active Italian universities, constitute an important model of university cooperation. »»
Letizia Cingnotto, professor-researcher at Pérouse, transmitted the greetings of the director of her university and welcomed this cooperation, especially since he is preparing to go to Algeria and the University of Blida 2 soon.
It should be noted that this is the second visit of the Italian ambassador to the University of Blida 2.
