🇪🇨 — Ecuador’s final referendum results confirm that all proposals backed by President Daniel Noboa were rejected after 100 percent of the vote was counted. Ecuadorians voted NO on each of the four questions submitted to consultation.

• NO to reducing the number of National Assembly deputies: 53.5 percent NO — 46.5 percent YES

• NO to eliminating public funding for political parties: 58.1 percent NO — 41.9 percent YES

• NO to allowing United States military bases on Ecuadorian territory: 60.7 percent NO — 39.4 percent YES

• NO to convening a Constituent Assembly to draft a new Constitution: 61.7 percent NO — 38.4 percent YES

➡️ The referendum is optional, and the government can deliberate or vote within Congress on each proposal to determine an official result. The expectation is that 3 out of 4 issues will be removed from the country’s political agenda.
