An opportunity for the DZ product.
New opportunity for Algerian products to make themselves known in the outdoor markets. More than 15 Algerian pioneering companies in the agriculture and agrifood sector take part in the 63rd International Food and Food Salon (AGRA 2025) which is held until August 28 in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia.
This is indicated by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Promotion of Exports, signaling the enthusiasm of visitors for the Algerian pavilion.
This participation is part, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, as part of the “strengthening of the economic partnership between Algeria and the Republic of Slovenia, in extension of privileged and anchored relations during the official visit of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune”. This participation constitutes, it was specified, “a strategic stage in order to promote bilateral cooperation and to open up new perspectives to Algerian products, thus reflecting the common political will between Algeria and Slovenia to build balanced and sustainable economic partnerships”.
The Algerian pavilion, supervised by the ministry, is experiencing a great crowd of Slovenian visitors who have displayed great interest in the Algerian products on display, said the Department of Foreign Trade. This has been added, indicates the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Algerian product in European markets.
The 63rd edition of the International Fair and Food Show opened its doors on Saturday under the patronage of the Slovenian Minister of Agriculture, Forests and Food, Mateja čalušić. Accompanied by the Algerian ambassador to Slovenia, Sabrina Kassi Dai, the minister visited the Algerian pavilion.
The latter recorded a great craze on the part of European professionals and visitors, who expressed “their Admiration for the quality and diversity of Algerian products, as well as their competitiveness which will allow them to penetrate European markets, “said the Ministry of Foreign Trade, stressing the importance of participation in this international economic event.
According to the Department of Foreign Commerce, “this participation is part of the orientations of the President of the Republic, aimed at diversifying the national economy and strengthening the presence of Algeria on international markets through agriculture and agrifood industries”.
It is also an opportunity for Algerian companies present to establish partnerships with their Slovenian counterparts, in particular, and also to benefit from the country’s know-how, mainly in the agricultural sector, because this sector constitutes a strategic axis of cooperation with Slovenia which is a pioneering country in intelligent agriculture, and could thus bring its expertise in the optimization of water resources and management and management digital cultures.
The bilateral relationship between Algeria and Slovenia has taken a new stage, following the visit, of last May, of the President of the Republic in Slovenia, where he had expressed the desire to expand cooperation with Slovenia in various sectors.
The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Natasa Pirc Musar, who said that the visit of the Algerian president Tebboune, accompanied by an important delegation, marked “a significant step in the development of links between the two countries”, notably insisted on the need to adopt sustainable policies and to promote initiatives in the fields of agriculture, technologies and water management.
