European Commission says Ukraine will receive first Ukraine Facility tranches in March and April


Ukraine will receive the first tranche of €4.5 billion under the Ukraine Facility in March, with the second tranche of €1.5 billion coming in April.

“We are finalising the mechanism of support for Ukraine known as the Ukraine Facility,” Dombrovskis said at a joint briefing with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv on Friday, 8 March.

Background: On 28 February, the Council of the European Union approved a mid-term budget revision to 2027 that envisaged the establishment of the Ukraine Facility, a four-year €50 billion assistance plan.
