Famine à Gaza et la résistance inébranlable – Le Jeune Indépendant

Half the population of the Gaza Strip “suffers from catastrophic levels of food insecurity”, and tens of thousands of Palestinian families “eat only bread every two days”, the UN agency said on Thursday United Nations for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).
Adnan Abu Hasna, UNRWA Media Advisor.

The official specified that “groups of people aged sixty to less than five years suffer from acute malnutrition”, stressing that “newborns in the Gaza Strip will suffer in the future from short stature and underweight”.

He also warned that “the coming period will witness a whole generation of physical malformations” due to the barbaric Zionist aggression underway in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
And to continue: “food insecurity (in Gaza) has caused the population of the enclave to lose immunity against diseases”.

In this context, the spokesperson clarified that “due to food insecurity, there is also a wide spread of hepatitis, and intestinal diseases, as well as diseases that did not previously exist in the strip of Gaza.”

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening day by day, the Siinist occupation army, which flouts all international laws and conventions, targets rescuers in order to prevent them from saving the victims of the bombings. In this sense, the British charity, Medical Aid for Palestinians, denounced the martyrdom of 500 health professionals since the start of the deadly aggression against Gaza.
“500 health workers have been killed in Gaza since the start of the Zionist military attack in October. This equates to an average of two health workers killed every day, and one in 40 health workers, or 2.5% of Gaza’s healthcare workforce, is now dead,” the British charity said in a statement yesterday.
“More health workers have been killed in Gaza since October than would have been killed in all global conflicts in 2021 and 2022 combined,” the statement said.
“These killings took place against the backdrop of systematic attacks on hospitals and other medical facilities in violation of the laws of war,” the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the UN, the Zionist entity carries out “systematic attacks” against hospitals in Gaza.
To face this incredible barbarity of the Israelis, the Palestinian resistance movements are carrying out attacks and setting up ambushes against the Zionist forces leading the offensive in the Palestinian enclave.

Palestinian resistance still effective

Violent fighting continued yesterday between resistance factions and Zionist occupation forces in the Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of Islamic Jihad – destroyed an Israeli military vehicle and engaged in point-blank clashes with the occupying forces. They inflicted loss of life and injuries to their ranks in and around Al-Muntar Hill, east of Gaza’s Shuja’iya neighborhood.

The Al-Quds Brigades also announced that it targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a Tandem shell in the vicinity of the Al-Huda Mosque in the Shuja’iya neighborhood. It also bombarded enemy soldiers and vehicles that had infiltrated the neighborhood with mortar shells. The Brigades claimed to have taken control of an Israeli reconnaissance drone during intelligence missions in the skies of Rafah, southern Gaza.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military branch of Hamas – announced that they had targeted an Israeli Merkava 4 tank with an El-Yassine 105 shell in the Shuja’iya neighborhood. They also bombarded Israeli forces positioned in the Netzarim axis with Grad rockets, targeting an Israeli troop carrier with an El-Yassine 105 shell in the Brazil neighborhood, east of the town of Rafah.

Meanwhile, on the 266th day of the aggression against the Palestinian enclave, more than 17 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured in Israeli shelling in several areas of the territory since dawn.

The occupation aircraft also bombed a house belonging to the Al-Wahidi family on Al-Mughrabi Street, in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza, causing martyrs.

Zionist army artillery also targeted the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin in the city of Ghaza.
The area around Wadi Gaza bridge, north of Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, was also the scene of intense artillery bombardment.
