“El Amarna” cinema in SBA
The El Amarna cinema in Sidi Bel-Abbès welcomed, in the evening of Wednesday, a play entitled “Ibadate” (exterminations), produced by the regional theater of Sidi Bel-Abbès, as part of the commemoration of the national day of the mujahid, which celebrates the double date of the Northern Northern offensive (August 20, 1955) (August 20, 1956).
The public followed with admiration the details of this representation, considering that the play perfectly illustrates the role of the theater in the preservation of national memory and the consolidation of the values of sacrifice and freedom.
The Directorate of Sidi Bel-Abbès’ culture and arts indicated that this show also pays tribute to the memory of the great writer and playwright Kateb Yacine. On stage, several generations of artists have united to offer a merger between theatrical creation and national history, thus transforming the scene into a vibrant living memory of the pages of the Revolution and the struggle.
For its part, the communication unit of the regional theater of Sidi Bel-Abbès indicated that this theatrical work is the fruit of the work of a group of creators who have revisited the artistic and human journey of Kateb Yacine, proposing an aesthetic vision inspired by history, which they have been able to recreate with an original language.
