💔 HEARTBREAKING: A commando in the Border Police’s elite Yamam unit who sustained critical injuries during a confrontation with Arab terrorists near Tulkarem in Judea & Samaria has tragically passed away.

28-year-old Chief Inspector Yitav Lev Halevi served as a commander in the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit.

The incident occurred during an operation in the town of Dayr al-Ghusun, near Tulkarem, on May 4.

Halevi, son of former Jerusalem District chief Deputy Commissioner (ret.) Yoram Halevi, succumbed to his injuries.

Five terrorists, associated with a Hamas cell responsible for recent terror attacks in Judea & Samaria resulting in the death of an Israeli and injuries to others, were killed during the raid.
