The Minister of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, was received this Saturday by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Roustam Minnikhanov, at the World Youth Summit 2025 in Kazan, Russia. This high -level meeting, marked by the presence of several international officials, was an opportunity for Algeria to highlight the importance of dialogue and international cooperation to empower youth and place it at the heart of sustainable development. This is what a statement from the ministry said this Saturday.
The reception brought together various ministers and young people from several countries. The exchanges focused on “crucial” questions, such as the empowerment of young people, the expansion of perspectives in terms of scientific research, as well as the sharing of experiences in the fields of youth policy, training in leadership and entrepreneurship, still according to the same source.
In his speech, Mustapha Hidaoui stressed that these international meetings constitute “a great opportunity to strengthen dialogue and unite efforts” with the aim of supporting young people and allowing them to fully play their role in sustainable development. According to the stakeholder, investing in youth capacities is an imperative worldwide, for the benefit of all companies.
The Minister also praised the organization of the Kazan 2025 summit, claiming that his themes reflect a manifest desire to place youth at the center of international priorities. For him, this meeting is a concrete proof of the need to expand the concertation and cooperation spaces on this subject.
Returning to the situation in Algeria, Mr. Hidaoui recalled that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, pays particular attention to youth, which he considers a cornerstone of sustainable development. In this sense, he declared that the policies and programs implemented by the government testify to this firm commitment to strengthen the role of young people in society.
For the Minister, this national vision is a catalyst for a dynamic of progress at all levels, placing the energy and creativity of youth at the heart of development strategies.
Algeria is committed to its youth in Kazan
As a reminder, Mustapha Hidaoui had, the day before yesterday, announced the launch of joint programs in Algeria intended to support young people and prepare them to contribute actively to sustainable development.
This initiative is part of the strengthening of cooperation between Algeria and the youth forum of Islamic cooperation (ICYF). Its ambition is to promote innovation, entrepreneurship as well as international cooperation.
On this occasion, Mustapha Hidaoui met Taha Ayhan, president of the Youth Forum of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OCI), to discuss the prospects for collaboration in the matter. According to the Minister, this partnership will materialize by concrete initiatives, particularly in Algeria, with the aim of providing young people with the tools necessary for active participation in sustainable development.
The two officials have emphasized the implementation of programs to support young people in their innovation, entrepreneurship and skills projects. The aim of these initiatives are to consolidate, once again, their role as leadership within society and to encourage their commitment to global issues, whether it is the fight against climate change or economic development.
The Minister, representing Algeria, took part in the end of the World Youth Summit, which ended yesterday. This major event brought together a wide range of international officials, including the ministers of youth, education, science, culture, work and digitization of participating countries. Considered as “an international pioneer platform”, the summit made it possible to bring together young leaders and actors of change, from the countries of the OIC, the BRICS and the Asia-Pacific region.
