IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir paid a visit to the Haifa naval base yesterday, accompanied by Navy Commander Vice Adm. David Sa’ar Salama and senior military officials.

During the tour, Zamir highlighted the Navy’s vital role as a strategic force capable of both defense and offense over long distances, according to a statement from the military.

“We must neutralize maritime threats, maintain robust defenses at sea, and leverage our naval capabilities to enhance national security and strike our enemies across all operational arenas,” Zamir stated.
