Imad Hamdi launches an appeal for the benefit of the Palestinian cause

The Secretary General of the Arab oil, chemicals and minerals unions Imad Hamdi called, Saturday in Oran, the unions of the Arab world to unify and intensify their efforts with international organizations active on the ground in support of the Palestinian cause, whose people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, are victims of genocide at the hands of the Zionist enemy.Mr. Hamdi declared in his speech, during the fifth Congress of the National Federation of Oil, Gas and Chemical Workers, affiliated to the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), that his union “rejects the policy of forced displacement to which the inhabitants of Ghaza are subjected, in a plan aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
He added: “We welcome the position of the General Union of Algerian Workers, which fights in favor of the Palestinian cause. We look forward to union cooperation in all Arab and international areas and forums to support our Palestinian brothers, mobilizing relevant international organizations to assume their responsibilities against Zionist aggression and work to end the occupation and to its tyranny against Arab workers in the occupied territories.
In the same context, the speaker stressed the need for international unions to “put pressure on the enemy to facilitate the passage of international aid to the Gaza Strip, whose inhabitants are subjected to the most stringent forms more horrible deprivation and famine.
Regarding the Congress, the Secretary General of the Oil, Chemical and Minerals Unions stressed that the Algerian Federation of Oil, Gas and Chemical Workers is “an example to follow as an active member of the Arab Union”, highlighting its effective role in “strengthening common action to face challenges at all levels”.
On the other hand, Mr. Hamdi praised the relations between Algeria and his country, Egypt, in all areas, which he described as “rooted in the depths of history”.
In this regard, he highlighted the increase in the volume of trade between the two countries, which is “the result of the directives of the Presidents of the two countries, Mr. Abdelfettah El-Sissi and Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and their desire to develop relations between the two countries in all areas.
As a reminder, the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers, Omar Takdjout, the Secretary General of the National Federation of Oil, Gas and Chemical Workers, Hamou Touharia, two representatives of the Ministries of Energy and Mines, Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, a representative of the Chairman and CEO of the Sonatrach Group, officials from Arab and African unions, as well as the authorities of the wilaya of Oran were present at the Congress.
