Registrations for the draw for hajj 1447H/2026, open since October 8, will continue until Thursday November 6, 2025, recalled the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport in a press release made public. Citizens wishing to make the pilgrimage to the Holy Places of Islam are invited to finalize their registration before this deadline.
“The Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning informs all citizens wishing to participate in the draw with a view to performing the hajj rites for the 1447H/2026 season, that the registration operation will end on Thursday, November 6, 2025,” the press release specifies.
The ministry specifies that candidates meeting the required conditions can register online, via the official website www.interieur.gov.dzaccessible 24/7, for holders of a biometric passport. As for citizens who do not have this document, they can go to the Municipal Popular Assemblies (APC) to fill out the form made available to them in the dedicated offices, during working days and hours.
According to a previous press release, the conditions required for registration are as follows: “be of Algerian nationality, be at least 19 years old on the day of registration and not have performed the pilgrimage during the last seven years, starting from the year 2019, except for the mahram accompanying a woman who has not performed the hajj during the previous seven years.”
It is also obligatory for women under 45 to be accompanied by a mahram. Women over 45 can register with their mahram or alone.
The form made available to the candidate must also be completed according to the following cases: in the case of individual registration, any citizen can register alone to participate in the draw. In the case of double registration, the mahram and the woman wishing to perform the hajj can register together and be issued with a unified receipt and form. For triple registration, the mahram can register a maximum of two women with him and receive a unified receipt and form.
In cases of double and triple registration, those concerned must register at the level of the municipality of residence of the mahram and via one of the two registration methods mentioned in the press release. In the event of double registration both on the ministry website and at the municipality level, the online registration will be automatically canceled and only the municipality’s registration will be retained.
Citizens, specifies the ministry, wishing to register at the municipal level and not having biometric passports, must undertake to obtain this document in the event of success in the draw, within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of its taking place, under penalty of removal from the list of winners.
The press release also invites candidates to mention the number of their previous participations, within the limit of ten registrations, including that of the current year. Finally, the ministry warns against any false declaration or falsification of administrative documents, practices punishable by sanctions provided for by law.
