Temrezov called Adam “a true patriot of his small homeland, Chechnya and his Motherland”, and Ramzan Kadyrov – his “brother and colleague”.

It was reported on 24 October that the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, personally presented Kadyrov Jr. with the republic’s second most important award, the Duslyk (“Friendship”) order.

The ceremony took place after Azat Khamayev, a member of the Tatarstan State Council from the United Russia party, disapproved of the beating of Nikita Zhuravel from Volgograd in the Grozny pre-trial detention centre.
