La feuille de route numérique de Bendouda – Le Jeune Indépendant

The Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda, chaired, this Monday in Algiers, a working meeting devoted to evaluating the progress of her department’s digital projects, as part of the national strategy for digital transformation of the cultural sector.

Surrounded by executives from the Department of Prospective Studies, Documentation and IT, the Minister recalled the need for rigorous data management and permanent monitoring of the projects undertaken. She demanded detailed reports on several ongoing projects, insisting on inter-service coordination and strict compliance with implementation deadlines.

Among the priorities mentioned is the digital platform of the Artist’s Card, whose recent technical malfunctions have caused delays in its delivery. Ms. Bendouda ordered their immediate resolution, emphasizing that “the ministry will not tolerate any breach affecting the rights of artists or the quality of cultural services.”

The minister also instructed her services to strengthen digital security and the fluidity of use of applications under ONDA, thus guaranteeing better protection of copyright and related rights in the digital space.

The national library network project was also at the center of discussions. This networking and digital sharing project aims to offer researchers and readers simplified and open access to documentary resources. For the minister, this is a decisive step towards building a culture of shared knowledge and free access to knowledge.

Ms. Bendouda also reaffirmed her determination to modernize the ministry’s information system and to anchor the culture of performance and transparency in the management of the cultural public service, in line with the national policy of modernization of the administration.
