Netanyahu, described as the worst war criminal since 1945
Turkish justice on Friday issued arrest warrants for “genocide” against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several Israeli officials including Defense Minister Israel Katz and National Security Minister Ben Gvir.
A total of 37 suspects are subject to arrest warrants, the Istanbul General Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement, without providing a complete list.
Among them are also the Israeli chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, indicates the Istanbul prosecutor’s office, which denounces the “genocide and crimes against humanity systematically perpetrated by the Israeli state in Gaza.”
Turkish justice also cites the case of the “Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital” in the Gaza Strip – built by Turkey – struck in March by the Israeli army, killing dozens of patients and medical workers.
Turkey, a country among the most critical of the war launched in Gaza by the Israeli army following the Hamas attack on Israeli soil on October 7, 2023, had already joined the proceedings for genocide against Israel initiated by South Africa before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last year.
