La majorité parlementaire se mobilise pour Tebboune – Le Jeune Indépendant

The three parties of the parliamentary majority, the FLN, the RND and the El Moustakbal Front, reiterated their support for the candidacy of Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the next presidential election on September 7.

In a meeting held at the El Aurassi Hotel, the National Liberation Front party, the National Democratic Rally and the El Moustakbal Front reaffirmed their full support for President Tebboune for a second term in the supreme office. Last Thursday, the Head of State had officially announced his decision to run and had withdrawn the signature subscription forms, as required by law.

The leaders of the parliamentary majority explained during this long-planned meeting that this support is motivated by a desire to preserve the supreme interests of the country.

For the SG of the FLN, Abdelkrim Benmbarek, the support is “dictated by the positive results of the first term”, affirming that all the economic and social indicators are green. “President Tebboune has led Algeria to a haven of peace and prosperity after a period plagued by corruption. We support the candidacy of President Tebboune so that he can continue his reforms aimed at strengthening the edifice of the new Algeria”, affirmed the leader of the FLN.

For his part, the Secretary General of the RND, Mustapha Yahi, stressed that “this second term will be one of stability and the continuation of reforms.” “We must keep the same principles during the new term. We believe in constructive joint work in order to sow hope among our people and strengthen national cohesion,” he added.

The leader of the El Moustakbel Front, Fateh Boutbig, recalled that his party supported the candidacy of President Tebboune out of conviction, stressing that the favorable response given by the Head of State to the request of the political parties of the parliamentary majority encourages them to mobilize the militant base and, beyond that, the voters on election day.

The leaders of this political bloc also affirmed their “full availability to contribute effectively to the success of the next presidential election, based on their firm conviction that this election constitutes an extremely important turning point in the path of the State and the economic and social achievements it has obtained.”

They also expressed their willingness to “start the electoral campaign, in favor of the candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by coordinating efforts between the coalition parties in the process of sensitizing the electorate to the need for intense and strong participation in the vote”, calling on activists and citizens to vote for the candidate Tebboune.

In this regard, the three political leaders did not fail to recall “the achievements of the first term at all levels”, warning against what they consider to be dangers and other perils that threaten the country, particularly by evoking the sacrifices of the Algerian people throughout history, the achievements of the liberation revolution.

It should be noted that this political bloc weighs heavily in the Algerian electoral landscape. With thousands of elected representatives in the APC, APW, APN and Council of the Nation, this parliamentary majority obtained, during the last legislative elections, more than two thirds of the votes cast. A figure that counts for the next presidential election, whose main fear remains the phenomenon of abstention.
