The police services of the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou recorded a total of 5,464 telephone calls from citizens during the month of July 2025. These calls were received via the numbers dedicated to police assistance: 15-48, 104 and 17.
According to a press release from the Communication Unit of Wilaya Safety, a large part of these calls, or 2,498, concerned requests for help and assistance. In addition, 361 calls were made to obtain information or guidelines. Police services also recorded 134 flight reports, 35 calls relating to fires, as well as 222 traffic accident reports. The remaining 2,214 calls focused on various other security reasons.
This volume of calls affirms the importance of the link between the population and the police. It also illustrates the vigilance of citizens, who actively participate, in their own way, in the maintenance of public order and in the prevention of incidents. The telephone lines of the Tizi Ouzou police services are therefore fully invested in their mission of listening, watch and intervention.
