The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted strongly on Tuesday to the Israeli strikes that targeted the Qatari capital, Doha. Algeria has condemned with the greatest firmness this “barbaric assault” perpetrated by the Israeli occupier, expressing its “total and absolute solidarity” with Qatar, which it describes as “Brother State”, during this period qualified as “exceptional test”. This was indicated by a statement from the ministry.
Algeria warns against the “widening of multifaceted aggressions” led by the Zionist occupier on several fronts, denouncing an escalation which, according to the same source, even aims “the team of negotiators” responsible for reaching a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. For Algiers, such acts demonstrate that Israel “does not seek peace” and aggravates the regional situation by showing “arrogance and recklessness”, without regard to international law or universally recognized humanitarian standards.
In a context described as “extreme gravity”, Algeria calls for the international community. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges the global powers and multilateral institutions to “fully assume their responsibilities” to put an end to “crimes committed against the Palestinian people” and contain a climb that threatens to train the whole region in a cycle of uncontrolled violence.
