Algeria called for the holding of an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council to examine the situation in the Middle East, following recent Zionist attacks against the Qatari capital, Doha.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday evening. This call was made in coordination with Qatar, supported by Pakistan. As a reminder, Algeria is the only non -permanent Arab member of the UN Security Council.
Algiers had previously condemned “with the greatest firmness the Israeli aggression which targeted this Wednesday the Qatari capital”, reaffirming its total solidarity with Qatar in these exceptional circumstances.
For its part, the State of Qatar confirmed that the Israeli army had targeted residences of managers of the Hamas movement. Doha described this operation as “criminal attack” and “cowardly assault”.
For his part, the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, denounced “a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar”, calling all the parties to “work for the establishment of a lasting ceasefire, not to its destruction”.
Several countries around the world have condemned these Zionist assaults, which once again prove the thug and terrorist behavior of Tel Aviv. These aggressions show the hideous face of this entity which has been sowsing, for years, terror, death and destruction, ignoring UN resolutions and international law.
The Zionist entity bombed the day before yesterday, with fighter planes, a DOHA district where a delegation of the Hamas movement was found, who came to discuss the last proposal of American president Donald Trump in order to end the war in Gaza, which has lasted for more than two years.
This attack killed five members of Hamas: Jihad Labed, director of the office of Khalil al-Hayya, Hammam al-Hayya, son of Khalil al-Hayya, as well as three bodyguards: Abdallah Abdelwahed, Mo’men Hassouné and Ahmad Al-Mamlouk. A member of the Qatari Security Forces was also killed in these strikes.
It should be emphasized that this is the first time that Israel has been hitting a Gulf country, which has weighing the risks of the extension of the war in the Middle East and weakens the last hopes of peace in Gaza. Tel Aviv even sent a clear message to all countries in the Middle East, both to Egypt and to Jordan or Kuwait. The entity did not hesitate to bomb entire regions in Syria and Lebanon, as well as strikes on sites in Yemen. A few months ago, she sparked an open war against Iran with the support of the United States.
The aggressive Zionist policy in the region was clearly expressed by the president of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), Amir Ohana, who shared an Israeli strikes on X on X with a legend in Arabic: “It is a message for the whole Middle East”.
