Algeria denounced this Friday evening the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister on the project of Greater Israel. This reaction from Algeria has intervened in a joint declaration with 30 Arab and Islamic countries.
Among the signing countries of this declaration are, in addition to Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Gambia, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, Sultanat Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
This joint declaration was also signed by the secretaries general of three important regional and international organizations: the Arab League, the organization of Islamic cooperation and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
According to the text broadcast in the evening of last Friday, the signatories stressed that the declarations of the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity “constitute a blatant and dangerous violation of the rules of international law and the foundations of stable international relations. They constitute a direct threat to Arab national security, the sovereignty of states, as well as regional and international security and peace ”.
The 31 countries thus condemn with “greatest firmness” these statements made last Tuesday on the Israeli channel I24News by Benjamin Netanyahu on the project of Greater Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister said he was invested in a “historical and spiritual mission” and being, “very” attached to the vision of a great Israel “, which includes occupied West Bank, Gaza, part of Jordan, Egyptian Sinai, as well as the territories of Syria and Lebanon.
The countries signatory to the declaration reaffirm their “respect for international legitimacy and the UN Charter, in particular its article 2, paragraph 4, relating to the rejection of employment or the threat of force. They add that they “adopt all policies and measures capable of supervising and consolidating peace, so as to serve the interests of all states and all peoples in matters of security, stability and development, far from the illusion of control and the taxation of force”.
In addition, the 31 signatory countries also condemn with “greatest firmness” the approval by the extremist Israeli Minister Bezalel Smotrich of the plan of “colonization and its racist and extremist declarations rejecting the creation of a Palestinian State”.
Finally, the foreign ministers of these 31 Arab and Islamic countries accuse Israel of “crimes of aggression, genocide and ethnic cleaning”. They claim a cease-fire in Gaza, and “the opening of unconditional access to humanitarian aid in order to put an end to the systematic famine policy used by Israel as a weapon of genocide”.
In the process, they reiterate their “total” and “absolute” rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people “in any form and under any pretext whatsoever”. They call for the international community, especially the United States, to put pressure on Israel so that it stops its aggression and completely withdraws from Gaza.
