The Algerian rider, Hamza Yacine, won the first stage of the 24th edition of the Cycling Tour of Algeria (TAC-2024), contested Sunday between Oran and Sidi Bel Abbès over a distance of 142 km, in the presence of 77 riders representing 16 teams.The member of the Team Madar Pro team took first place with a time of 3h 19m 52s, ahead of the Eritrean Meron Teshome Hagos and the Mauritian Christopher Rougier Lagane, authors of the same time.The second stage will have place Monday between Sidi Bel Abbès and Mostaganem over a distance of 141 km. As a reminder, the Algerian rider, Nassim Saïdi, won, on Saturday, the Grand Prix cycliste de la ville d’Oran, which took place on a closed course of 117 km (18 laps) in the presence of 72 cyclists from 15 teams.
