Launch of work on 148 AEP projects nationwide in a few days

Work on 148 drinking water supply projects in several regions of the country will be launched in the coming days, as part of the implementation of the emergency program intended for regions facing water stress, announced the day before yesterday Sunday in Tiaret, the secretary general of the Ministry of Hydraulics, Amar Bougueroua.
The latter indicated, in a press statement on the sidelines of the kick-off of the AEP project for the benefit of 11 municipalities in the wilaya of Tiaret from the “Adjr Maya” water basin, that the choice of companies for the realization of these 148 projects relating to the supply of drinking water to several regions of the country as part of the emergency program decided by the President of the Republic,
Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune for a cost of 27 billion DA, is currently underway. He specified that these projects will be carried out within 4 months at the latest, indicating that the choice of companies to be hired to realize them was made on the basis of the parameter of “speed of impact”.
Mr. Bougueroua recalled that the national strategy aimed at putting an end to the problem of the scarcity of drinking water is geared towards supplying residential areas far from the coast through the desalination of sea water.
