Effective launch of the first projects of the AADL 3 program this November
The announcement was made in Bejaïa on the sidelines of the launch of the distribution of 144,601 housing units
The Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and Urban Development, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, announced, Thursday from Bejaia, where he supervised the distribution of 509 social rental housing units in Bejaia, as well as that of 2,045 grant certificates intended for the construction of rural housing, the effective launch, this month of November, of the first projects of the AADL 3 program, with the construction of 60,000 housing units in across the national territory. It was on the sidelines of the launch the distribution of 144,601 housing units of different types across the country, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Liberation Revolution.
Recalling that since 2020, the sector has experienced remarkable dynamics having enabled the distribution of 1.7 million housing units, all formulas combined, across the country, the minister underlined that this program constitutes an important step in the national housing strategy and the granting of financial aid for the construction of rural housing. “This national performance, which is part of an ambitious five-year plan, has significantly improved the living conditions of citizens and contributed to the drop in the occupancy rate per dwelling (TOL), from 4.45 in 2020 to 4.18 at the end of 2024, with the objective of reaching 4.00 by the end of 2026. This is a measure which reinforces the social dimension of the State’s policy and its desire to preserve the dignity of the citizen,” he said.
In Algiers, the minister-governor of the wilaya of Algiers, Abdelnour Rabhi, supervised the distribution of 2,349 housing units of different types, namely 1,473 subsidized and participatory social housing units, 400 social rental housing units, 245 housing units as part of the program to combat unsanitary housing and 231 private housing units. In Blida, local authorities distributed 166 decisions to benefit from social rental housing, while the wilaya of Tipaza saw the distribution of decisions to benefit from 462 housing units, and Djelfa saw the distribution of 3,833 decisions to benefit from social housing developments and 3,815 subsidies for rural housing.
In Chlef, residents benefited from the distribution of 1,860 state subsidies for the construction of rural housing, 786 units of the subsidized housing formula and 294 units of public rental housing, while in Médea, local authorities distributed 636 housing units. Tizi-Ouzou saw the distribution of 589 units of public rental housing, Bouira 875 units and Boumerdes 1,600 units. At the same time, in the wilayas of the west of the country, more than 30,000 housing units of different types have been distributed, in addition to the laying of the first stone of several social projects.
In Oran, local authorities oversaw the distribution of 2,072 housing units of different types in various municipalities. In El Bayadh, more than 5,500 housing units were distributed, while in Saïda, 606 public rental housing units, 118 housing units under the free promotion program and 2,273 financial aid for rural construction were distributed while in Naama, 7,174 housing units of different types were allocated, as well as 930 housing units in Mascara, 3,403 housing units in Sidi Bel Abbes, 1,067 housing units in Ain Temouchent, 1,862 housing units in Relizane, 2,460 housing units in Tiaret, 1,526 housing units in Tissemsilt, 1,502 housing units in Tlemcen and 2,153 housing units in Bechar. In the east of the country, the wilaya of Constantine saw the distribution of 1,463 housing units of different types, while Khenchela benefited from 3,202, Souk Ahras from 3,117 and Tébessa from 3,183. In the southern provinces, Ouargla recorded the distribution of 3,244 housing allocation certificates, while El Oued saw the distribution of 310 housing units. and 6,531 certificates of financial assistance for construction. The province of Touggourt recorded the distribution of 2,532 housing allocation certificates, while El M’Ghair saw the distribution of at least 4,815 housing units, Ghardaïa 1,399, Adrar 6,383 and Illizi 997.
