Next launch of a common information system for pricing and market supply

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, and the Minister of Internal Trade and Regulation of the National Market, Amel Abdellatif, agreed, Monday in Algiers, during a coordination meeting, to launch a common information system for prices monitoring and market supply to various consumer products, said a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture. This meeting co -chaired by the two ministers, made it possible to tackle the questions related to market supply and monitoring prices for large consumption agricultural products, specifies the press release, adding that both parties have agreed to “launch a common information system to follow prices and availability of products, and anticipate fluctuations, using modern technologies, in order to avoid shortages or price increase”. On this occasion, the two parties also agreed to set up a permanent working group responsible for the daily monitoring of the availability of products and market stability, according to the same source.
