A significant emergence is noted in rural women in the wilaya of Blida, marking total progression in their participation in the economic development of their wilaya and the whole region.
The creation of an association of rural farmers demonstrates the will and the courage of these women to persevere in their activity. Thanks to targeted support, they have also successfully embarked on the creation of small businesses relating to various sectors and thus energizing the economic fabric of the region.
This is how a new association for supporting rural agriculture came to strengthen professional agricultural organizations in Blida, we learned from the agricultural chamber of the wilaya. The new association was created as part of the organization of the activity of professionals from the various agricultural divisions of the wilaya, and in response to the request of many rural women, explained the manager of the professional organization of the agricultural chamber.
She said on the occasion, that the agricultural chamber has more than 300 rural women active in agriculture, including the cultivation of mushrooms, the extraction of natural oil, fruit trees, citrus, vegetables of all kinds, pulling and the food industry.
This new association will be “a space where rural women can exchange their experiences, organize their activities, promote and market their productions. It will also play an important role in encouraging rural women to engage in agricultural activity and contribute to the promotion of local production and food security, “added the same official.
This association is added to several professional organizations of the wilaya which have those that bring together women active in citrus fruits, in fruit trees, poultry farming, mountain agriculture, beekeeping, cereals and legumes.
In turn, the president of this new association, Chahrazed Hasnaoui, said that her objectives are all part of the organization and development of the activity of rural women, in particular with regard to training that will allow these women to acquire new skills and participate in various events concerning women farmers. “The association, which is open to all rural women in Blida wants to contribute to environmental protection, sustainable development and the defense of rural women’s rights,” she concluded.
