Le drapeau algérien flotte dans le ranch de la série Dallas – Le Jeune Indépendant

On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Algeria’s independence, the national flag was raised at South Fork Ranch in Dallas, USA, where it will fly forever.

South Fork Ranch is a legendary place in the state of Texas where the famous series Dallas was filmed. Algeria was the first country in the world to broadcast this series internationally thanks to a donation from President Regan who had offered the series to Algeria following the release of American hostages in Tehran thanks to Algerian mediation.

It is thanks to Nooria Hadi, an Algerian resident of Dallas, that the Algerian flag now flies at the South Fork Ranch. She raised awareness among the ranch managers after a visit where she noticed the absence of the Algerian flag while the emblems of several countries are present. “I wanted to speak with the manager of the Ranch and draw his attention to the fact that Algeria was the first country to broadcast the Dallas soap opera in the world, so he promised me to raise the Algerian flag on the anniversary of our country’s independence.” Ms. Hadi said happily.

South Fork Ranch welcomes 500,000 tourists from around the world each year.
