Le marché de l’emploi à l’ère du digital et de l’IA – Le Jeune Indépendant


The 18e edition of the Employment, Training and Entrepreneurship Fair “Algeria Job Summit” opened its doors this year, at the Moufdi-Zakaria Palace of Culture, in Algiers, under the theme “The job market in the yardstick of digital transformation and AI”. An opportunity to highlight the impact of new technologies on the labor market.

According to the organizers, “this Fair is not only limited to the search for professional opportunities, but it also extends to crucial areas such as professional guidance, business creation, financing mechanisms, entrepreneurship, professional retraining and many other essential aspects for the socio-economic recovery of our country.”

For this new edition, the impact of artificial intelligence, given its influence on the economy and the job market, was highlighted. And these are all the parties which integrate new technologies into their operation, like the National Employment Agency (ANEM National Employment Agency), which has digitized many of its services to better meet the expectations of job applicants, capable of improving their employability. Souhila Mesbahi, head of annex of the National Employment Agency (ANEM), reported on the digitalization of its services, with the establishment of 36 digital platforms for the benefit of recruiters and job seekers .

Startups and project leaders also take part in the event. The latter expressed their enthusiasm but also their involvement in the creation of wealth and added value, while being part of the economic and social fabric. Abderraouf Dhifi, a student at the University of Boumerdès, who developed the Dawina mobile application – which facilitates making appointments with doctors online – is part of this category. “We noticed the difficulty of making appointments. Sometimes, patients waste a lot of time just waiting for their turn, without being able to go to the doctor,” explained Abderraouf Dhifi, adding that it was precisely this problem that inspired him to develop this solution. “We also need intensive promotional work to convince people and doctors so that they opt for this new application instead of the traditional process,” he stressed.

A competition for the best innovative project will also be organized on the sidelines of the Show, with the participation of 17 projects. According to the organizers, for three days, participants will take advantage of the support workshops to develop their ideas and establish an economic plan consistent with each project, before the jury evaluates these projects to choose a winner.

It should be noted that Algeria Job Summit will span three days and will include conferences, workshops and round tables where debates will focus on labor market trends, entrepreneurship, business and start-up creation -up and continuing education.

Placed under the high patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Microenterprises, this Exhibition aims to be an essential space for recruiters and job seekers, according to the communications agency 3C and Emploi Partner, organizer of the event.
