The Ministry of Health called, last Tuesday in a press release, citizens at strict compliance with preventive measures and hygiene to avoid cases of food poisoning, and this from the purchase of the food product until consumption.
Calling for more vigilance and responsibility, the ministry insisted on strict respect for all prevention measures, noting that “any negligence could cause serious food poisoning”.
To protect itself against these dangers, the ministry called for taking a series of measures during purchasing operations, “avoiding in particular the purchase of products exposed directly in the open air and the sun, in particular sensitive products including bread, mineral water, eggs, carbonated drinks and dairy products”, while “checking the expiration date of dairy products and preserves in particular”. The ministry has also recommended that they do not buy swollen or deformed boxes, being a sign of a probable alteration of its content. Regarding conservation and storage, the ministry insisted on the importance of ensuring that sensitive products (meats, fish, eggs, milk derivatives, pastries) are kept in adequate refrigeration conditions before their acquisition, while keeping perishable products in the refrigerator just after purchase. It is also not recommended to reconge a food after defrosting. It is also a question of ensuring the quality of the pastries, while avoiding their exposure to heat before consumption ”. In addition, the ministry recommends “consuming the cold dishes immediately after their preparation, avoiding leaving them at room temperature for more than an hour. It is thus advisable to prepare them and consume them on the same day ”.
