Health Minister calls for strengthening awareness campaigns to prevent diabetes

The Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Seddik Ait Messaoudene, reaffirmed, Thursday in Algiers, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, the importance of awareness and early detection to prevent this disease.
In a speech read on his behalf by the Secretary General of the ministry, Mohamed Talhi, during a ceremony celebrating World Diabetes Day, the minister insisted on the need to “raise citizens’ awareness of the impact of lifestyle on their state of health and to prevent this disease”, calling on all stakeholders in this field to “contribute to national efforts aimed at disseminating the culture of prevention and early detection”.
