The acting Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb received this Sunday at the Palais du Government on Sunday, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Competition of the Republic of South Africa, Tau Parks, on an official visit in Algeria as part of the participation of his country of the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025). This was indicated yesterday a press release from the services of the First Ministry.
This meeting made it possible to reaffirm the strategic and privileged character of relations of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and South Africa. The two parties reviewed the means of strengthening the bilateral partnership in various fields, in accordance with the common vision of the two heads of state, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa.
The meeting also constituted “an opportunity to assess the advancement of the implementation of decisions resulting from the state visit made by President Ramaphosa in Algeria in December 2024”, said the same text. The emphasis was placed on the importance of boosting economic and commercial exchanges, while expanding cooperation to other strategic sectors, from a perspective of win-win partnership between two countries linked by a common history of struggle for freedom and justice.
