The Movement of the Society for Peace (MSP) and the El Bina movement firmly condemned, on Monday, the assassination by a bombardment with direct targeting, by the heavyly armed Zionist criminal machine, Palestinian journalists, killed while covered the situation before the Al-Chifa medical complex, in the Gaza Strip.
The bombing of the Israeli entity, which cost the life of Palestinian journalists Anas al-Charif and Mohamed Qreiqa, as well as their colleagues Cameramen Brahim Zaher and Mohamed Noufel, continues to arouse a deep shock wave. Political and citizen reactions are multiplying, denouncing a “premeditated war crime” aimed at stifling the truth about the atrocities committed in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) expressed, this Monday, its “deep pain” and its “lively indignation” on Monday in the face of this direct targeting, qualifying the act of “premeditated war crime” intended to “silence the voice of truth”, and this in the abject goal of obscuring the atrocities committed against the population of besieged Gaza, whose famine, massacres and Passive look of the international community, political training underlined in a statement.
Denouncing “with the fiest terms” this heinous crime against professionals exercising a duty protected by international laws and conventions, the MSP recalled that this assassination is added to a long list of crimes against the press. According to local media sources, since October 2023, 237 journalists have been killed in the Gaza Strip, an unprecedented figure in contemporary history, exceeding all the balance sheets recorded in previous conflicts.
The MSP also called international institutions and human rights organizations to “assume their historical responsibilities” by denouncing the crimes of the occupation and taking “urgent and concrete measures” to end impunity. He also presented his condolences to the bereaved families, claiming that “the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, despite the length of the Occupation night and the multiplicity of complicity, will sooner or later turn into pride and victory”.
Likewise, the El Bina movement has strongly condemned the bombing of the tent of the Al Jazeera team. The party welcomed the memory of these “pure souls” who “offered their life in sacrifice for their homeland and their cause” and reaffirmed its support for the Qatari chain and the families of the victims.
The party of Mr. Bengrina assures that these journalists tirelessly covered, for twenty-two months, the “barbaric” war waged against Gaza, transmitting to the world the horror of crimes committed despite the threats, attacks and extreme living conditions. Their work, according to the party, helped to mobilize global public opinion and to highlight “the fascist nature” of the occupation forces and their abuses against civilians, children, women, medical teams and rescuers.
Beyond political convictions, emotion is immense on social networks after the “last letter” of Anas al-Charif. Written about four months ago, when he suffered threats and direct harassment of the Israeli army, she today resonates as a will of engagement and resistance.
“If my words come to you, know that Israel managed to kill me and silence my voice …”, he wrote, evoking his childhood in Jabalia’s refugee camp, his unfinished dreams and his desire to one day return to his hometown of Ascalan, occupied.
He describes Palestine there as “the jewel of the Crown of Muslims” and “the pulse of each free man”, calling not to submit to borders or restrictions, but to become “bridges towards liberation”. He also entrusts his thought to the children of Gaza “shredded by bombs” and the victims of the massacres ignored by international conscience. He concludes his letter by writing: “If I die, I die closes on my principles … I ask God that my blood be a light enlightening the road to freedom for my people”.
