Le MSP promet une Algérie «plus prospère» – Le Jeune Indépendant


The president of the Movement of the Society for Peace (MSP), Abdelaali Hassani Cherif, affirmed, Friday evening from Blida, that his political party was determined to launch into the presidential race on September 7 with “combativeness”, while emphasizing that his objective was to move towards “a more prosperous Algeria”.

Presiding over the commemoration ceremony of the 21ste anniversary of the death of the founder of the Society for Peace Movement, the late Sheikh Mahfoud Nahnah, Hassani Cherif assured that his political party will participate in the next presidential election “with combativeness” by proposing to Algerians a project “likely to bring solutions to their problems and to make Algeria even more prosperous.

The MSP, according to its first leader, “advocates peaceful alternation in power, democratic transition, preservation of freedoms and values”. In addition, socio-economic reforms will not be left behind, he maintained, thus rejecting what he described as “practices likely to destabilize the country”.

And to specify that the methodology and political vision of its training “evolve from one stage to another, according to circumstances, changes and the political situation”.

The ceremony, which was an opportunity to remember the qualities of the founders of the MSP, Sheikh Mahfoud Nahnah, was attended by leaders and activists of the political party, as well as the secretary general of the Ennahda Movement, Mohamed Douibi.

He took the opportunity to reiterate his support for the candidacy of Abdelaali Hassani Cherif in the next election. He affirmed that the support of his political party for the candidacy of the president of the MSP for the presidential election on September 7 “stems from a sincere desire and contributes to decision-making independence”.

The National Shura Council of the Society Movement for Peace, meeting in extraordinary session on May 24 and 25, 2024, had, it is recalled, proposed the candidacy of the president of the MSP, Abdelaali Hassani Cherif, in the next election presidential.
