The number of scholarships for young Africans revised upwards as soon as the next school year

The Minister of Professional Training and Education, Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, told Algiers on Friday, that his sector will double the number of scholarships granted to young Africans from the next year of training, an initiative which testifies to the importance that Algeria attaches to its African dimension.
In a press statement, on the sidelines of the African diasporas day, organized within the framework of the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025) at the International Center for Conferences (ICC) Abdellatif Rahal, Mr. El Mahdi Oualid said that young Africans “benefited before 500 scholarships each year in the field of vocational training” “Scholarships will be revised upwards during the next year of training”.
The Minister also announced the launch, in the coming weeks, of an African Vocational Training Institute in the wilaya of Boumerdès, stressing that these initiatives reflect the importance of Algeria to its dimension and to its African depth, as well as the will of the sector to share its successful experience with the African brothers. Declarations of the President of the Republic, who said Thursday that “Algeria is proud to have contributed, since its independence, to the formation of no less than 65,000 African executives, convinced of the importance of working on the development of the continent”.
