The Ministry of Industry will support industrial projects and ensure the creation of favorable conditions aimed at the expansion of sustainable investments. This was stated on Tuesday by the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, emphasizing the role that private investments play in supporting the local economy and creating jobs.

It is a message of assurance that the Minister launched to economic operators, reiterating the State’s commitment to supporting the realization of “ambitious” industrial projects, on the second day of his working and inspection visit which he carried out in the wilaya of Adrar. This is in line with “the State’s vision aimed at building a diversified economy, based on national production and private initiatives”, affirmed Yahia Bachir, welcoming the efforts of private investors and their essential role in supporting the local economy and job creation.

The industrial sector occupies an important place in the authorities’ strategy. Particular importance is in fact given to the sector with a view to increasing its contribution to GDP. The revival of the industrial sector is ranked among the priorities by the public authorities who encourage the development of the sector, notably through the initiation of reforms, the implementation of incentives, as well as support for SMEs and support for investments, in addition to the development of strategic industries, such as the steel industry, agri-food and construction materials. The objective is to stimulate local production.

On the second day of his visit to the wilaya of Adrar, the minister visited two private investment projects, namely the Dayfel Company and the Adrar Milk Company. The first specializes in the manufacturing of metal structures and urban equipment, located in the Adrar industrial zone over an area of ​​20,000 m². This company constitutes a successful model of local industrial investment, employing 17 permanent workers and having integrated production workshops encompassing cutting, welding, assembly, painting and packaging, supported by modern numerical control and electrostatic coating equipment, the ministry said in a press release, noting that Yahia Bachir, during this visit, became familiar with the production stages and the technical and administrative organization of the company.

Welcoming the level of equipment and professionalism in management, the minister called for “the expansion of industrial activity and the diversification of production to meet the needs of the local and regional market”, in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, relating to the support and promotion of private investment.

After the visit to Adrar Lait, the minister called “for continued efforts to improve productive performance, guarantee quality and extend the distribution chain”.

Adrar Lait is a private sector agri-food production unit, specializing in the manufacturing of whole milk and skimmed milk powder, with a daily production capacity of 45,000 liters, expandable to 80,000 liters, said the ministry, which highlighted the importance of this project, given its direct economic impact.
