The role of Algeria in the defense of the sovereignty of the Gulf country in the UN Security Council was hailed by the participants at the Arab-Islamic summit held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, after the recent Israeli aggression. This is what emerges from the final press release after the work of this summit.
Algeria has been praised for active contribution, with other Arab and Muslims countries members of the UN Security Council, the convocation and securing the emergency session of the Security Council dedicated to countering the Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar.
In the 20th point of the press release, mention was also made of the “central role played by representatives of the Arab and Islamic countries members of the Security Council, notably Algeria, Somalia and Pakistan, in the defense of the Palestinian cause, the cessation of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the establishment of a cease-fire and the full and full membership United Nations ”.

As a reminder, the leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries adopted a final press release calling for a united front against the Zionist aggression against Qatar, calling it “serious threat” for regional and international peace and security, and “blatant violation of international law”.
Participants said in their press release their “absolute solidarity” with Qatar, by supporting all the measures he will undertake to protect his sovereignty, stability and the security of his citizens.
They denounced the impunity enjoyed by the Zionist occupier, calling on the international community to keep him responsible for his repeated crimes and violations.
In the same wake, the leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries demanded the end of the Zionist occupation of Palestine, and the creation of an independent Palestinian State in the borders of 1967, with El Quds-Est for Capital, continues the press release.
They rejected any attempt at forced displacement or ethnic cleaning, described as crimes against humanity, condemning the Zionist policies of blockade, famine and colonization, assimilated to war crimes.
Participants also warned against Zionist attempts to impose a new arrangement accomplished in the region, or to undermine mediation efforts, stressing that “any attack on Qatar constitutes an attack on the whole Arab and Islamic world”.
The press release praised the role of Qatar in mediation efforts to end the Zionist genocidal war in Gaza.
The leaders, at the same time, favorably welcomed the “New York Declaration” adopted at the UN in favor of the two -state solution, urging the Security Council to set a binding calendar to end the Zionist occupation.
