The measures aimed at encouraging exports cited by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the ceremony of the 2e edition of the award ceremony of the President of the Republic for the best exporter for the year 2023, were welcomed by the employers. The Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) expressed its satisfaction, describing these measures as beneficial, which will undoubtedly increase the volume of exports.
“The CREA welcomed with great satisfaction the new decisions concerning non-hydrocarbon exports announced by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the ceremony of the 2e edition of the award ceremony of the President of the Republic’s Prize for the best exporter for the year 2023,” CREA said in a press release.
“These beneficial measures will significantly increase the volume and diversification of exported products and further enhance the positive image of our country,” according to the CREA, which welcomed “the strategic vision of the President of the Republic as well as his desire to do everything possible to ensure the strengthening of our country’s economy.”
Among the measures that the President of the Republic cited are the redefinition of the country’s foreign trade map, taking into account the national interest and global geopolitical challenges, the liberalization of exports of certain production sectors whose capacities have exceeded national needs, such as oil, sugar and pasta, as well as the creation of logistics bases for export at the level of all economic poles.
The President of the Republic also cited the expansion of the Algerian banking network abroad, particularly in Africa, the opening of commercial air and maritime lines to strengthen Algeria’s pivotal role in the region, the opening of investment to private and foreign operators in the field of large-scale distribution networks, as well as the possibility given to exporters to use the temporary admission system to increase the rate of their exports of high value-added products.
The President also announced the recording of an unprecedented level of non-hydrocarbon exports, approaching 7 billion dollars. These positive results “concretely reflect the strong will to win the challenge of the strategic choices that we have adopted, in accordance with the commitments that we have made,” indicated the President of the Republic.
The CREA also congratulated all the business leaders whose export efforts were recognized by the President of the Republic.
The awards were given to the company Tosyali Algeria, specialized in metallurgy, which won the prize in the category of exporters of industrial products, to the company Intradis Algeria, which won the prize in the category of exporters of agricultural products.
