This blocked internship will extend until September 5, in the perspective of the 2025 Worlds which will take place from 12 to 28 of the same month in the Philippines and Imlloul hopes that by then, “the Algerian selection will have progressed sufficiently, to show a good face during the group phase”. Before this internship in Poland, the national selection had carried out, in early August, a first grouping in Tunisia, punctuated by three friendly games against Tunisian.
Algerian volleyball players had also taken part in the international friendship tournament, disputed last July in Béjaïa, alongside, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. In the 2025 World Cup, Algeria was paid into the pool (F), alongside Italy, Ukraine and Belgium. The national selection will begin the competition against its Italian counterpart (title holder), on September 14 in Manila (2:30 p.m. Algerian), before facing Ukraine on September 16 (07:00), then Belgium on September 18 (07:00), on behalf of the last day of the group phase.
For this first edition which will be played with 32 countries, the two best teams in the final classification of each hen will access the direct elimination phase of the global competition.
The World Cup will take place in two sites: in Manila-the Smart Arena Coliseum and the SM Mo Arena-from September 12 to 28, 2025. As a reminder, the National Six had composted its ticket for the 2025 World Cup by reaching the final of the African Championship 2023, lost to Egypt (1-3).
