The candidates smile again.
The baccalaureate exams continued this Wednesday for the fourth consecutive day. The history-geography test brought smiles to the faces of candidates from practically all sectors.
Internet access has been completely disrupted since the start of the tests, in order to guard against any attempt at fraud. Despite this blocking of social networks, cases of fraud have been recorded almost everywhere across the national territory.
The candidates from the literature and foreign languages sector, who passed their last test, namely history and geography, wanted to express their complete satisfaction. The afternoon of the same day was devoted to the Amazigh language test for the students concerned with this subject.
At the exit of the El-Idrissi examination center, in place of 1er-May, in Algiers, most of the candidates from the maths, maths-technics and management-economics sectors met considered the history-geography subject affordable. “The history-geography subject was easy and refers to the program taught during the school year,” said a candidate, who displayed a relaxed expression and seemed relieved, like the majority of candidates.
The same feeling of satisfaction was also expressed by the candidates from the literary sectors, who passed their last test, like their comrades from the mathematics sectors. “The history-geography test was like a breath of fresh air for us before facing another main subject, that of physics,” said Kenza, stressing that the exam was within the reach of students who have took things seriously and reviewed their lessons well. The experimental sciences candidates also wanted to express their complete satisfaction.
It must be said that a climate of relief reigned this Wednesday around the exam centers. It should be noted that the last tests are scheduled for today, for the scientific sectors.
As a reminder, to guarantee fairness and reinforce rigor in the evaluation of the baccalaureate exam, the Minister of National Education announced an unprecedented measure: the introduction of a fourth correction of candidates’ copies for the 2024 session.
Speaking on ENTV, on the eve of the start of the baccalaureate exams, Abdelhakim Belaabed specified that each copy will first be corrected twice. In the event of a significant discrepancy between these two assessments, he specified, a third correction will be made. He added that, if necessary, a fourth correction could also be implemented. This approach, he stressed, aims to perfect the evaluation process and ensure fairer scoring for all candidates. Mr. Belaabed also reassured candidates by announcing that the baccalaureate results will be published no later than July 20, stressing that all measures have been taken to ensure the smooth running of this crucial exam.
