Algeria is actively preparing for the flagship economic and commercial meeting of the continent which will take place in less than a month. Intensive preparations are underway to accommodate, in the best conditions, the intra-African trade fair (IATF) that Algeria will house from September 4 to 10. In addition to a government organization which promises to be flawless, preparations are also on the side of economic operators, which are already mobilized, aware of the importance and opportunities that this manifestation will offer.

At the Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers (CAPC), the mobilization is general to take part in the IATF and especially to guarantee the success of this platform which will bring together economic actors on the African continent. This is what the president of CAPC said, Souheil Guessoum, noting the fact that “the Confederation mobilizes its members for the success of the intra-African trade fair”. CAPC members are already said to be ready, according to Mr. Guessoum, who added that IATF is “a major continental event which opens up large development prospects for our businesses”.

“Our members, from all sectors of activity, respond massively to the call,” he said, because “Conscious that the IATF constitutes a strategic platform to establish sustainable partnerships, identify investment opportunities and inscribe Algeria in a dynamic of African economic integration”.

The mobilization of economic operators of the CAPC translated, he added, “the desire to transform these opportunities into concrete results for our companies and for the national economy”.

The president of the CAPC also mentioned the prospects that this intra-African trade fair will open for the Algerian business, but also for the country’s economy.

“This meeting offers a unique opportunity to conquer new markets, to diversify our exports and to enhance national know-how with leading African partners,” he said.

CAP operators craze

Same bell to the Algerian Confederation of Pample (CAP). The mobilization is general to guarantee the success of this major event. The National President of the Confederation, Tahar Bouzid, who highlighted the importance and the strategic nature of the IATF for the Algerian economy and the country, expressed a great mobilization to the CAP. “The Algerian Confederation of employers, through its 15 federations representing different sectors of activity has already prepared and continues to do so in order to succeed and mark our presence at this continental event,” he said, highlighting the objective of developing economic and commercial relations with other companies. A dozen companies have already registered, said the president of the CPA, who noted a “major craze” in order to take part in this African fair. “Other companies continue to register. We are committed to assisting and supporting them, ”assured the president of this employers’ organization.

Saying the announced participation of several countries, mainly African, with which Algeria aims to develop exchanges, Mr. Bouzid did not fail to report the expectations of the economic operators of this event. “The IATF will allow us to consolidate our economic and commercial relations and to open new horizons of partnerships,” he said, recalling the objective of further attracting foreign investments to Algeria in various sectors, like industry, agriculture and tourism, insofar as the economic situation is favorable.

Bouzid also reiterated the commitment and availability of CAP to cooperate with the public authorities to ensure the success of the intra-African trade fair.

In short, Algerian and African economic operators activating in various fields are invited to participate in this fourth edition of the IATF. The call was reiterated during the promotion tour of this fair, held in Algeria last July, in the presence of several Algerian and African officials.

A call to the economic sphere of Africa, mainly to businessmen, had been launched during this day in order to take part in the 4e Edition of the IATF, which is the commercial engine of the continent but especially the appropriate platform to establish links and seize the partnership opportunities. The appeal was mainly launched by the President of the Consultative Council of IATF 2025, Olusegun Obasanjo, as well as by the executive vice-president of the Development Development Bank and Intra-African Trade, Afreximbank, which highlighted the opportunities offered by the continent.
