The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, revealed yesterday Sunday in Algiers the date of pre-registration of new high school graduates (2024 session) for the 2024-2025 academic year. “The pre-registration and final registration of new high school graduates, for the 2024-2025 academic year, are scheduled from July 23 to 27,” he said. Speaking at a press conference, Kamel Baddari said that the results of the orientations of new high school graduates towards their respective sectors will be published on August 6.
“The new graduates will then have to complete their registrations and pay the registration fees between August 10 and 15,” he continued. Noting that the new graduates will benefit from a two-month training course, from July 25 to September 25, in English before the start of the academic year.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research also revealed the development of three new applications for new high school graduates. The first, “Discover your opportunity”, dedicated to orientation, the second, “Your orientation application”, for specializations, divisions and fields according to the average, and the third, “Discover the professions”, to correspond to the specialization chosen by the new high school graduate.
For his part, the Director General of Higher Education and Training at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ali Choukri, spoke yesterday Sunday about the medical courses, higher education institutions and specialties, with national registration. Revealing that for the 2024/2025 academic year, the baccalaureate in mathematics has been included in the choice of medical sciences.
In a statement to Ennahar Online, Ali Choukri said that the minimum average required for the medical field, for the academic year
2024/2025, will be higher than 15/20. Ensuring that the minimum required average will be set once the baccalaureate results are known.
Regarding the conditions of access to the new National Higher School of Cybersecurity in Sidi Abdellah (Algiers), the Director General of Higher Education and Training at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said that the minimum average that will be required will be the same required for the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence.
At the beginning of July, the Director of Finance at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdelhakim Djebrani, assured that everything is ready to open this new School within the deadlines required by the Head of State. “We are on the final stretch for the opening of this institution. The Creation Decree has already been published and the human and material resources are being put in place,” he said. Stressing that Algeria is firmly committed to a deep reform of its university system, aimed at raising these institutions to the 4th generation university.
This ambitious project, he continued, is based on the comprehensive digitalization of academic processes, the integration of advanced technologies in teaching and research, as well as the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship within campuses.
