Pre-registration for new 2024 session graduates will begin on July 23 via the website www.orientation-esi.dz and will continue until July 27, announced this Sunday the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari.
According to the minister, who was speaking at a meeting held at his ministry’s headquarters, the pre-registration schedule will run from July 23 to 27, followed by confirmation of online choices and final registrations from August 11 to 15. The final results, the official added, will be announced on August 6, to allow candidates to pay the registration fees from August 10 to 15.
To carry out the operation, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has made available to the 2024 baccalaureate graduates the portal for new baccalaureate holders, which includes all the information that the student needs in the process of orientation and selection of their university course.
This portal also includes the new graduate’s guide, the ministerial circular relating to orientation and the 2023/2024 university registration calendar.
The Minister also announced that an online course platform will be made available to new students wishing to improve their level of English, from July 25 to September 25, which they can access using the registration number and the confidential code appearing on the baccalaureate transcript. This training will allow students to obtain level B2 and C1, which will allow them to practice their university studies in accordance with the new directives requiring teaching in English instead of French.
The first person in charge of the sector also revealed the development of three new digital applications for future high school graduates, and this concerns the development of the application “Discover your opportunity”, dedicated to orientation, as well as the development of the application “Your orientation”, which concerns the specialties accessible to holders of the baccalaureate according to the average, while the third application “Discover the professions” was created to correspond to the specialization chosen by the student.
The minister also mentioned the new training courses that will be introduced for the next academic year, namely the establishment of 15 double licenses, i.e. one bachelor’s degree for two university degrees. He also stated that it had been decided to strengthen the network of the National Higher School of Cybersecurity in Sidi Abdellah and Relizane. He added, in the same context, that the first class of the baccalaureate of arts will graduate next September, mentioning the creation of an artistic institute in Oran.
The head of the higher education sector said that the university is preparing to transition to a modern 4-year university next year.e generation, digitally connected and extending to 23 university institutions. “We are seeking to achieve a digitally connected university, which extends into different economic spaces so that Algeria can shine with its students on an international scale,” the minister said.
