As the end-of-year exams approach, the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, reassures students that the subjects of the intermediate teaching certificate (BEM) and baccalaureate exams will relate to the courses provided face-to-face, knowing that, this year, directors of education are urged to develop a precise report on the progress of school programs, by setting up a unified course threshold, or what is called the “âataba “.
Thus, the supervisory ministry calls on the people concerned to respect the organizational provisions in force. For its part, the National Examinations and Competitions Office (ONEC) affirmed that the questions for the baccalaureate and BEM exams will relate to the courses taken by students face-to-face, in class, throughout the school year. , with teachers, in accordance with the guidelines given by the Minister of National Education, Mr. Belabed, to the commissions responsible for preparing the subjects. ONEC called, on this occasion, for compliance with the regulatory procedures in force.
Speaking on this subject, the secretary general of the National Examinations and Competitions Office (ONEC), Mohamed Hadj Koula, affirmed that the BEM and baccalaureate exams were “ordinary, like all other exams quarterly and blank”, assuring candidates that the chosen subjects “will be drawn from courses taught in face-to-face classes throughout the school year”.
The manager indicated that “the same organizational arrangements from previous years have been maintained, in particular the choice between two subjects for each subject” as well as the opening of the examination centers at least one hour before the start of the tests.
The SG of ONEC underlined the imperative for candidates for these two exams to reach the exam centers “at least half an hour before the start of the tests, recalling that they are strictly prohibited from entering or to go out after the start of the tests and the opening of the subject envelopes. Likewise, candidates can only leave the examination center after half the time allotted for the test.”
Among other organizational measures, the manager recalled that it was forbidden “to bring any means of communication with you and a room will be dedicated to the storage of personal effects”, calling on candidates to “respect these measures”.
To prevent any leaks or cheating and in order to avoid cheating scenarios recorded in previous years, the Ministry of National Education has imposed numerous bans, particularly on teachers. Among these prohibitions, the ministry insists on avoiding the presence of teachers in the same place, talking among themselves, talking to candidates, trying to allude to the subject of the exam, walking in the corridors and to stand in front of the candidate. They are also prohibited from being in front of the entrance to the examination room, from sitting or from doing anything other than the surveillance task.
As a reminder, the BEM exam will take place from Monday June 3 to Wednesday June 5, 2024, while that of the baccalaureate will take place from Sunday June 9 to Thursday June 13, 2024.
